One of the pillars of the England cricket team, Kevin Pietersen is still fighting with his injuries. He finds it tough to deal with his surgically treated Achilles; he missed the tour of South Africa for this reason. The absence of Pietersen has worsened the flimsy middle order of the English team.
Pietersen underwent some severe surgeries and his injuries are not completely healed yet. He was kept out of the England squad for the championship trophy due to an infection.
Pietersen’s probable recovery from Achilles tendon surgery in July became difficult for him, when he was infected again in the scar tissue. This time, he got himself admitted into the hospital on a drip feed.
Pietersen is advised to take a complete rest for the next few weeks. Nevertheless, he is confident of being completely fitted for the next World Cup in March. A replacement can be thought if by chance, he does not get himself until then. However, it is true that, there is no one in England to bat like Pietersen. If there anyone existed, he would have included in the team already. The alternate may be called for just carrying the drinks, nothing else. Now, it is upon the time to tell whether England is going to have Pietersen or not.
